Biography

This is the enticing story of my life. I was born on March 14, 1983, as a Pisces baby. Growing up I was very active, and participated in various sports. I played soccer and baseball in elementary school, and played football and wrestled in high school. Besides sports, I had a fascination for weather, and storms. I was always motivated in school, and received good grades. I was placed in honors classes in elementary, and middle school, and took advanced placement cources in high school. I graduated with a 3.2 GPA.
Coming fresh out of high school with a diploma, in the summer of 2001, I did not know what I wanted to do. My dream job was to originally become a meteorologist, and chase storms. I knew it would take a lot of math, which was not my specialty, considering I did much better in my english courses. I knew the course ahead would be tough, but I was up for the challenge. I registered at Mercer County Community College in the fall of 2001, and the mission was set. I was to persue a chemistry major and transfer to Cook College of Rutgers to major in meteorology.
I did rather well the first semester at Mercer County, but the second semester I did not. I did rather poorly in the Calculus and Chemistry, and realized that this route was not for me. Realizing my weakness, I still did not know my strength. My friend's girlfriend asked me if I would like to try acting, and I figured why not. I was accepted to an agency in modeling and acting, called MMA in Philadelphia. I landed a couple auditions, but I got discouraged and participated less and less as the years went by.
In the winter of 2003, while working as a sales associate at General Nutrition Center, my management had taken a liking to me and asked me to become a manager. Not knowing what I wanted in school, I accepted. At first I worked as a manager for one store, then two stores, and was being trained to become a Senior Store manager, which involved being in charge of a grouping of stores. My sales were excellent, and my team was doing very well. My Regional Manager and I was very excited. However, as time passed, I was starting to realize that my passion was not in this field. I stepped down in the summer of 2006, and registered back at Mercer County Community College that fall.
Now, I knew that I had a new direction, and new my strength- communications. Yet I knew that I needed a degree to get a job that I really wanted. My new aspiration was to transfer to The College of New Jersey, in my mind one of the best schools out there. With this new sense of motivation, I made the Presidents list and Deans list and was accepted to The College of New Jersey the following year. My first semester at The College of New Jersey I maintained this drive and made the Deans list again. This brings us to the present. Now, I am focusing on internships.
